Like I said - marketing. Plus I bet that you ask most brits of our age to name a popular home computer and they'll say Sinclair-something. They don't care it wasn't a decent machine, they care that it did what they wanted it to, ie play games they could copy from their mates. Which legend has it wasn't really a Sinclair machine, even though it was supposed to be Chris Curry of Acorn fame that got the project up and running. Of course this could be bitchiness by people surrounding it, but I've heard all sorts culminating in that the MK14 wasn't a Sinclair Radionics machine but was designed by someone at Uni who's logon to the timeshare system was MK-14.
