Apparently a first-generation Panasonic DVD-RAM drive
(that'll be
the ones that take the big cartridges) can read them, but I suspect
finding one of those in working condition might be difficult.
Just out of curiosity, who's the manufacturer of the DVD-RAM drives used
in the first G4 Macintosh systems? My 9 year old drive works just fine,
if that helps at all.
