Since it isn't metallic what are they doing other
than dying it pink ? I
have always wondered if I wasn't just being ripped off. What does the pink
supposed to mean was added to the plastic ?
Some sort of polymer is added to the plastic to make it conductive
(actually not very conductive at all - for the cheap bags, a couple of
orders of magnitude worse than the metal mylar bags, I think. This is
not as bad as it sounds). I do not think it has anything to do with
being pink.
Nor does being pink mean the bag is ESD safe, either, so randomly
found pink bags are always suspect.
