This question came up on the HP LX palmtop list. Are
there any emulators of
the C64 or the HP48 that will run on the HP200LX palmtop (which has CGA
graphics, and 80186 CPU, and MS-DOS 5.0)?
Back in the day, there were some very primitive ones that might, but I
ahve no idea where you could download one now.
PC64 might run on the HP200LX. I don't know if it will like the CGA graphics,
though.
C64S, the preeminent DOS-based emulator until it lost its corporate
sponsor, requires a 386. However, it runs extremely well on 386s and 486s,
even slow SXs, being hand-coded in assembly.
