I think being around tomorrow is the big thing. Take datasheets
for example ... try and find a free one online anymore.
Datasheets? As in component datasheets? What are you smoking,
Ben? I don't think I've ever seen anyone charge for them. I have
nearly three thousand datasheets as PDFs in my archive, all of which
were free.
There are, of course, those services which sell free things
(including datasheets) to people. Their customers must be pretty
gullible. But every component I've ever needed a datasheet for, I've
been able to find as a free PDF with little or no difficulty, usually
from the manufacturer.
