Ironic, in the sense that I knew of several trade schools who were still
teaching how to program a 407 accounting machine and 514 reproducing punch
plugboards long after most 1401's had hit the scrap pile. I think a lot of
places kept the 407's around just to do 80-80 listings.
The 407 was a pretty neat box for a piece of unit record equipment.
