Yes, for gmail.
On top of your inbox listing there's a pair of buttons reading "Search
Mail" and "Search the Web".
Next to that is a "Create a filter" link. Click that.
In the "To" Field, put "cctalk at classiccmp.org", then "Next
step". Then,
select "Apply the label" and pull down the "Choose label" list and
pick
"New Label". Put "cctech" as the new label name, click OK, then
"Create
Filter". Now all the subject lines for cctech posts will start with
"cctech".
