With all this talk about CF as drive substitute, I was tinkering with
my L40SX with a CF to IDE adapter in notebook drive factor and 256MB
CF with DOS 5.00 (IBM too!)
Does *work* and truly silent notebook, no whirring. :) The software
to configure hardware ID'ed CF with no issues. Even I cannot use CF
in my other 701C. :(
