tell you if it's a Star.
IIRC, the Star had both a custom microcoded CPU and had an 8080 (or 8085)
to handle I/O.

still looking for any genuine Xerox Star. I own two
So am I, actually. The only 2 Xerox machines I have are a Model 3000 word
processor (seems to be an 8085-based machine) and a Daybreak. I know very
little about the latter (one day I'll figure it out), but it was cheap
enought to be worth grabbing.
