Writing an email program in BASIC 27 years ago hardly
makes you an
expert in properly configuring a system today, any more than my wiring
IBM plugboards 45 years ago, and I don't think many folks here will be
inpressed by your "25 years PC experience" either.
absolutely.
But, do y'all have to constantly remind me how old I'm getting?
BTW, the 5150 ("Danger to itself and others") came out in August 1981,
long after many other machines were well established, so your "BASIC" and
"PC experience" years += about 5.
When I was a lttle kid, I asked what "spindle" meant, and why there was
any need to say, "Do not fold, spindle, staple, or mutilate."
