I'm cheap. I'd rather wait for a good deal or

hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a lot or collection of machines.
You and me both. My most expensive single item to buy was my Magnavox
Odyssey at ukp119. Normally I'll wait till something good comes along rather
than chase it and throw money at it - my Lisa 2 was, in effect, free and
most of my really good stuff has been given to me, eg MOS KIM-1, MGT SAM
Coupe, NASCOM I and II, Compukit UK101, PET 2001-8 etc.
I paid $300 for a prototype Apple //gs. I can't
think of anything else
where I spent more.
You've just reminded me about my GS that was signed by Woz (*not* a
'signature edition' machine, actually signed and dedicated to the previous
owner inside the top cover) - that was given to me as well.
Paying for stuff is a PITA :o))
cheers
