That's what I was wondering. Rather than using an old Soviet-design
IC with uncertain supply, it would make more sense to use one of the
FPGA PDP11-design CPUs--and probably with a fairly substantial speed
gain.. At least one of the PDP-11 designs on Opencores has a built-
in IDE interface.
