How do they charge the fractional cents?
They round up the total at the register. So it's really a way of charging
a dollar without actually doing so.
If you buy 100 of them, do you get to pau $99.99? If not, I would class
it as false advertising.
Some of the electronic component suppliers I deal with do list
compooents with prices involving fractional pennies, but they also have
an 'order multiple' so you have to buy a mutliple of 5 (say). At which
point the total price is an integer (and it's what you are charged).
