You might just be able to grab the 2KB out of the 8KB using the Moto
MC68764 EPROM definition on your programmer. The catch is that the 3
chip selects are also programmable. The 64K Moto EPROM definition will
read 8KB and toggle two of the chip selects. If pin 20 is programmed as
a "high", you should have luck lifiting it from the programmer socket
and tying it to pin 19 or 21.
The 9316 standard character generators were usually type 9316CG.
