 Also, I'd be willing to bet quite a bit of money that there are
 digital circuits in that watch, unless for some reason they lost their
 minds and used an analog circuit to keep the time.

As a computer engineer, I'm quite happy that while digital circuits
are made from analog parts, those analog parts can be reliably
abstracted as digital components. After that, it's all ones and zeros
:-)
Having designed individual transistors on silicon, the best part is
when you get some NAND/NOR/AND/OR/XOR/etc. parts built and can just go
 from there ;)
