I'm just a bit uncomfortable using telnet on my pdp11/83.
I'd be surprised if the system had enough memory and cpu to run the
necessary encryption. ssh is painful enough on a sparc sun4c box. It
*might* get away with ssh v1.
I'd be inclined to try to proxy via another box - maybe even have a
key authed login which automatically runs telnet to the 2.11BSD box,
and then firewall off port 23 on the 2.11BSD box from anything but the
proxy machine.
If you are running 2.11BSD in simh you could make the proxy box a
bigger simh machine (like a hulking MicroVAX 3900 :-p
