IBM hermaphroditic TR connectors

I have an entire case of adapters, made by Energy Transformation Systems, Inc. I called their tech support this morning, and was told that these were made for Token Ring connections, using IBM Type 1 or Type A cables? There are 2 different PN: EB-TRT-I has impedance matching, uses pins 3,6 and 5,4 EA-DATA-U does not have impedance matching, also uses pins 3,6 and 5,4 These have female RJ45 on one end. Apparently they are used to connect to a MAU? They look like these http://www.cuc.eu/en/li/conrj/rjembase/879700.html But use pins 3,6 and 5,4. Anybody trying to resurrect any old TR stuff? I confess, these are way beyond what I have any knowledge of!
