Those mainframes weren't 32 bit though. They were *much more* than 32
bit. What was it, two 64 bit registers or something like that? I
don't remember, but I'm pretty sure it's not just a straight 32 bit
machine :D
Well, as we've flamed about before, this is largely a matter of
interpretation. The "general consensus", however, is that the S/360 and
S/370 families are 32-bit machines.
