The Pocket PCRef lists three variants of the ST82500x - x=J=SMD-E,
x=K=IPI-2, and x=N=SCSI.

           1) Look for a set of three jumpers somewhere
that have 'id' or
 'addr' etched or silk screened near the board. If that doesn't work try
 adding a jumper (carefully) at each point and then probing the bus until
 the unit number changes.
          2) Read the code page and see if you can set the LUN to sometong
 other than 0
