stores stock 800K floppies. Is it possible to cover over the hole that tells
the drive that it is a HD disk and format it as an 800K disk? Will the 800K
drive on the IIgs be able to read it? Or do I have to find a source for real
800K media?
David, I believe that I will be able to pick up some once written
720/800k diskettes come next swapmeet on the 6th of September at a
reasonable price if you - or anyone else - are interested. I bought a
batch of 1.44s a while back from the same vendor and they have been
quite satisfactory. They were Compaq diagnostic disks and carried
rather easily removable labels.
Let me know.
