There is a 'new' mercury free process that they are using in Mongolia. It
sounds like an aqua-regia digest that I used to uise in the lab. I wopuldn't
want to do it without a fume hood and the muffling process should also be
proplerly vented.
Interesting!
I've heard that some people use their
barbeque to melt away
the cirucut boards.
Wow that must smell horrible.
How many people here would buy an untested board
for more than scrap value?
In the context of DEC boards, I would, depending on the board.
I see VAX boards being offered for a good price
but are they selling?
Less common ones sure do.

As for general PCB scrap last year in order to feed I got rid of some
300 kgs of various pcb and silver bearing (RF) items
I got ?800 so it can be worth it to the scrappers
Paper board stuff is down at about 12 pence a Kg , just a bit of
copper, tin and lead a lot of mine was in that category
