I just ran across the letter from Commodore that preceeded delivery of the
Pet that I have here. I found it interesting since it talked about the first
production run. Quoting just a bit:
September 16, 1977
Dear Customer,
We'd like to talk about your order for the PET computer.
Our production schedule is running about 30 days late. First production
models will be metal rather than plastic and will be the 8 Kilobyte RAM
version rather than the 4K.
