maybe your 11/03 has a refresh problem:
M7944 MSV11-B Q 4-Kword 16-bit MOS RAM
(external refresh)
I seem to remember that the M8044 modules do their own refreshing, while
older boards like the M7944 need refresh via Q-bus, either from a TEV11
or from the CPU. Refreshing both internally (on-board the M8044) and
externally (through Qbus) is probably not a valid configuration.
Can you look up which board is at the far end of your Qbus? - Maybe the
jumper to fiddle with is there, and certainly the description is in the
LSI-11 Systems Service Manual on my shelf.
