I believe the System 80 was a computer running word processing software.
An 8085 main chip, I think. I have yet to run across the CP/M system
disk for one, though.

It depends on how you use it. If you only write letters with it then
it's a "typewriter". If you hacked a general purpose OS into the ROM
then it could be considered a vintage computer, if it's ten years old or
older.
But really, it's niether. As your subject line indicates, it's a word
processor.
That being said, would the IBM Displaywriter be considered a computer, a
word processor, or both?
