Ordinary glass glows a little redish yellow in a dark
room, when
melted.
Actually, come to think of it, what happens if you get ordinary glass
up to white heat? Does it just become a less viscous liquid, like most
liquids, or does anything interesting happen?
For that matter, what's the boiling point of glass?
