Yep... a 30 cps printer still takes minutes to belch out the startup
text for VMS and/or UNIX...
(I used to keep about 6 LA36s and LA100s loaded with paper and ribbons
for various machines we had at work... I was glad when we no longer
cared about a paper record and switched to VT100s at a higher baud
rate).
