That doesn't work for me. It seems to me that it doesn't work for most
people but it can take a while before some come to this conclusion.
The method I use is to sign up to mailing lists that discuss topics I am
interested in and not to try to change them to discuss something the
existing subscribers didn't previously discuss.
Hear, hear! This is something that more new subscribers should take to
heart. On this list, though, there are too many enablers who (apparently)
just like the sound of their own voices and will respond to anything. I
filter out members who persist in off-topic posts, but the constant
follow-ups render that less effective.
If you want to talk about Windows, find an APPROPRIATE list.
