So, everything needs to be in a vacuum in the dark?
Ideally, in a dark inert gas environment. Obviously impractical,
except for time capsules.
Or, could you get away with inert gases and UV
blockers?
UV filters and low light levels are standard in museum settings. I do
not know if many people on this list have ever set foot in an real art
museum, but there is a reason they have few windows and are kept
pretty dark. At first, the darkness might be annoying, but the human
eye is pretty amazing and quickly adapts.
