Until then, try pointing your DNS to 8.8.8.8
(Google) and see if that prevents their shenannigans.
IMHO, Google has enough shenanigans of their own. I use the Level3 DNS (4.2.2.1 / 4.2.2.2
/ 4.2.2.3).
