For approximately the same value of "nobody" for which `nobody [...]
ever calls them anything but "stop bits", not "stop bit time"'.
There are some of us who are aware that
"DB9", which, although
possible, is most decidedly NOT the same as "DE9".
Certainly. And there are those for whom "bit" is a slightly more
flexible word than the one you seem to take it as, one for which "1.5
stop bits" actually makes sense.
There's really no excuse for such nonsense. I see
people using
"Watts" do describe energy, not power also. that doesn't make it
correct.
My point exactly: "nobody does it" doesn't mean "it's wrong".
