What really bothers me is the heading of the page: "Yesterday's Hype Meets
Today's Reality". What's that supposed to mean? Did anyone "hype"
the
S-100 bus? Honestly, I understand EDN less and less...
In point of fact, what's so special about the S-100 bus? Multibus is
probably just as old, claims an IEEE standard (796 and 1296) and is still
in use today (Multibus II anyway). Some, including yours truly, would
argue that Multibus is a much better design than S-100.
