What are
your thoughts on those IDEs for those kinds of things where
it's built with building blocks?
I think they're terrible. You learn NOTHING from doing that. Nothing.
But, like Arduinos and Raspberry Pis, I think it's better than
rotting in front of a television, playing video games, or grunting and
drooling with a bunch of walking foreheads at some testosterone-fest
"sports" event.
No arguments from me there. If 0.1% of people who play with RPis continue
to investigate computer hardware and software, it's a Good Thing.
I am told, BTW, that the fist tiem I saw a TV (I must have been about 3
years old at the tinme), I wasn't interested in the kids programme being
shown, I wanted to know how it worked...
And I paly video games. By which I mean I play games with video-related
hardware. Like rebuilding reel-to-reel VTRs.
