Too bad the phone company (sbc) doesn't make
a slow dsl available, no
faster
than my modem but always on and shareable.. that's what I miss most.
Dial-up is shareable, but it can be pretty slow if you do so. Look at
one of the single-floppy firewall Linux distros out there. I've had
pretty good results from freesco (http://www.freesco.org) - easy to
configure, and pretty solid in operation.
