HyperTerminal as a "glass TTY" :

other useful capabilities.
I second the recommendation for PuTTY (and more specifically PortaPuTTY!)
for general Windows use. Kermit-32 is another possibility.
For *consoles*, we use TeraTerm instead of PuTTY.
