all this talk of DIOS and stuff is making me loopy.
are you sure it wasn't just a disk based BIOS? Does the firmware contain just enough
code to get it booted up?
what is so peculiar about the h/w of this thing that it has all these special needs? Again
is the f/w stripped down, bare bones?
