It truly is a nice volume to have on your reference shelf, just for
times like this. Kinda like the Merck Index but for machinists. About 1300
pages, indexed and usually thumb-niched like a dictionary.
At the library, look up: Oberg and Jones, Machinery's Handbook.
But as cheap as they are (you most likely will find one locally, or at
Dayton this year) it's not a bad thing to have, even if you need it once a
year.
