When I was there, there were still a lot of people
still
smarting from the Worldcom/AOL dismantling of the former CompuServe,
fueling any unhappy feelings at the time, I'm sure.
Worldcom was good at this. In the space of two or three months, ANS
turned very sour. Others I worked with later that were absorbed by
Worldcom said the same thing - MCI, MFS, UUnet. I even remember
Sidgmoor coming to our office, and everyone could sense he was a
bitter man, after Ebbers gutted his company.
