Some of those "enhancements" (such as the "Resolution Enhancement
Technology") between the "classic", the II and the III series (also IIP
v IIIP, etc.) do create some incompatabilities on SOME cartridges.
Fonts will typically work fine, but with some of the fancier stuff, such
as Postscript cartridges, SOME of them require different cartridges for
different models.
