How fast do you need the parts? There's a "nuisance factor" with
smaller capacity SRAM parts--more layout, and sockets (if you use
them). You can still get new 70 nsec 128Kx8 and 512Kx8 SRAM in DIP
for not a lot of money--and lower power.
