Montreal. They were around not too long ago, maybe three years or so.

You are thinking of Matrox from Canada, they are still around (
www.matrox.com )
Matrox has been in the business longer than any of the other current
graphics card makers, by far. I have an S-100 matrox card that does
256x256x1 graphics. You could gang them in parallel for color or greyscale.
