Mmmm. The emulator would have to patch the roms and catch the calls to
the LAP driver. At the bottom it's talking to the SCC in a way that
might make it hard to emulate. It might be possible to fool the code
into thinking everything was ok and then collect the packet bytes...
(ugg. i've worked on lap drivers talking directly to the scc. that
code was extremely timing critical.)
thinking about writing an scc chip emulator makes my head hurt.
