What's really bad is that in another couple
of years it will
have been a full 10 years since Commodore filed for bankruptcy and
another 2 years after that it will be 10 years since Atari got
swallowed by JTS. It is kind of hard to believe it's going on 20
years since the intro of the Mac and Amiga though.... even the first
machines from Be are 10 years old now.
It's amazing to me that the first thing I built for my Ph.D. (a
hand-wired transputer CPU board) is now on-topic here. I don't think of
things as recent as that as being 'classic'...
Is it really 25 years since the Apple ][, TRS-80 model 1 and PET 2001.
