Consider that the disk as manufactured is sold as a "2MB" disk.
Let's see, raw capacity is 12500 bytes per track, 160 tracks (80
cylinders, 2 sides) = 2,000,000 bytes exactly.
So getting 1,474,560 bytes billed as "1.44MB" when the manufacturer
uses 1M = 1,000,000 is quite a nice bonus. You get an additional
34,560 bytes.
