Of course. The point he was trying to make is that non-snipe bidding is
counterproductive for the user bidding and just about everyone else.

Depends, if you just want something for the initial bid and somebody has
already bid you might not want to bother bidding at all. Sniping is only
good for high value items that will get a dozen bids anyway.
