Which indicates a TI BP8 rechargeable battery pack, producing 9V:
The article reads:
" BP8 TI-30 family
The BP8 was introduced together with the BP7 and fits a whole line of
calculators including the SR-40, TI-30 and Business Analyst. It uses two
AA-sized NiCd battery and converts it with an integrated circuit (IC) to
9V."
So, you should be able to just stick in a 9V battery. That it could use
a 9V battery was also my recollection - we had these where I worked
years ago.

IS IT
9V, or just using that connector?
I have one working, and one dead. Anybody interested in them?
Note: this is the original LED one (with short battery life), NOT the LCD
one (with short keyboard life).
I have at least 4.5V, 6V, 9V, and 12V multi-cell holders/packs that use
a 9V-style snap connector, so the TI battery pack could certainly be
something other than 9V.
