HP 1631D logic analyzer help

Jay, IIRC, that analog error is an analog channel triggering error. I believe that all of the extended self-test error codes are spelled out in the service manual. As a quick check, you can try triggering the scope section from all three channels, and I think you'll find at least one (Channel 2?) won't trigger the scope, but it will still digitize a waveform. For most purposes, the logic analyzer will be fine, but if I were you, I'd take the company up on the offer to replace it. If the replacement 1631D passes all of the extended self-tests, you can be 99.9% sure that it has no internal problems, since these tests are very extensive. Hope this helps!
