ISTR that the breakage was already traced down to one single
optimization pass. To get that fixed, the first thing would be to
have a GCC bugzilla ticket for it (I'm not sure if anybody opened one.)
At least, I couldn't find one ad hoc when I tried a simple bugzilla
search.
