Yes, the connector for the ac adapter is part of the BP-8, as is the
cover to the battery opening. There might have been a plain ole battery
cover at one time for this one, but it was probably discarded when the
original owner started using the rechargable pack.

My TI programmer has (and works well with) a 9V battery (the battery
compartment door shows a picture of a 9V battery) and just a hole for where
the charger goes.
