(watch out for the 'feature' if the install which changes ownership of
the source parent directory - always install from a subdir and not
straight from /tmp like I did once :)

I'd disagree there - V7 eats up 100MB of disk
space, and doesn't seem
any faster or better at rendering than V5 was (plus it takes a lot
longer to start up).
V7 has the nifty ability for document authors to cause the document to
"phone home" when its opened.
