I remember several products of that era (can't remember the names!) that
were designed to add functions to telephones that we take for granted
these days: call waiting, call forwarding (both required two phone
lines) and speed dialing. One device would redial a busy number
continuously until it got through. (Demon dialer?) I sold them to
businesses and car phone users.

It looks kind of like a desktop calculator but it's actually a phone dialer. It's
not the automatic dialer advertised by those telephone SCAMMERS Compudial. This dates from
1979.
